EP 08: Significance of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) To Your Building and Tenants

Updated: Jul 5

Welcome to our eighth episode of "10 Minutes to a Better Building", a podcast that explores how to get the most out of your building in 10 short minutes. Each week features a subject matter expert that identifies ways you can improve your building, with actionable takeaways.

This week's episode is all about Indoor Air Quality (IAQ). According to a study from Deloitte Insights, in an average year, people spend about one-third of their lives inside commercial office buildings. Now that the COVID pandemic has really opened our eyes to the importance of better IAQ in buildings, we want to prepare you with the right information for your building to make decisions that are sustainable, resilient, and focused on the people inside the building.

We practice what we preach and decided to make IAQ improvements to our own building while also reducing energy usage. We added Dynamic filters with UV lights that we sell to clients to demonstrate that we don't just provide these recommendations, but also practice the importance of a healthy building. In today's episode, Boland's Sales Team Leader, Kevin Bradley, explains IAQ, and what building owners can do to improve their indoor building to make it healthy and safe for tenants as they return to their buildings.

Episode takeaways:
