Updated: Jul 23

Medical Surgery Center

Germantown, MD

CHALLENGE

A medical surgery center that provides timely, non-hospitalization services to patients in Germantown, MD, experienced issues maintaining a comfortable and safe temperature inside its building due to extreme summer temperatures and equipment failure.

Immediate cooling was necessary while Boland worked on repairing the existing unit so that the medical surgery center could continue caring for its patients despite the severe temperatures outside.

SOLUTION

During the repair period, Boland Rental Services provided temporary cooling solutions to ensure a comfortable environment for employees and patients.

The temporary cooling units installed

included:

  •  80-ton DX unit

  •  190KW generator

RESULTS

When Boland Rental Services was contacted on the weekend, the team promptly installed a temporary unit and generator, completed the ductwork within 16 hours, and had the rental unit operational by the following day.

This swift action allowed Boland service technicians to continue their work on the existing unit without concern for tenant comfort or safety, as temporary cooling was available for the building. With this solution, the medical surgery center is now equipped to withstand the extreme summer temperatures.
