In this week's episode, Geoffrey Gilg, Energy Engineer at Boland, joins host, Tyler Kern, to discuss how building owners can lower their Energy Usage Intensity (EUI).
You might be asking, what is Energy Use Intensity (EUI)? EUI measures how much energy a building uses in a year. For example, your building's electricity, natural gas (if applicable), fuel storage tank, and other energy supply sources, all get added into thousands of BTUs/square foot units per year. This is normalized for the size of the building.
Questions that will be answered during this episode:
Why is it important to know about Energy Usage Intensity (EUI)?
What are the new updates for Building Energy Performace Standards (BEPS)?
What improvements can you make to your building?
