This year has come with many unexpected challenges, celebrations, wins, and changes. For those of you who do not know, 2020 was a mile marker year for Boland. For us, 2020 meant it was time to celebrate our 60th anniversary of making buildings better in the DC Metro Area.
We had big dreams of an anniversary gala that Jim Boland often referred to as, "the party that will outlive all others" and celebrations with our partners, clients, and friends. First and foremost, we want to thank you for coming along this 2020 journey with us. We are honored that throughout these difficult times you continued to choose Boland as your partner.
While we didn’t celebrate quite the way we were expecting to, 2020 gave us many wins to celebrate. From our perspective, COVID-19 put our organization to the test in the best way possible. It forced us to adapt to changes, implement creative solutions, and find new ways to continue performing our jobs to the best of our abilities. Remote work enabled us to build our online training portfolio and host more accessible events and lectures. We successfully hosted our annual Breakfast with Trane event, Talks with Trane, and digital learning opportunities.
As we watched COVID-19 deeply impact our community, we wanted to place extra emphasis on giving back and being involved. Throughout 2020, we are proud to have continued our philanthropic efforts through charitable donations and many other outlets. We held wave parades at senior centers, donated jewelry to deserving mothers through Project Sparkle, and provided masks for our local Habitat for Humanity organization. As an essential service provider, we made it our priority to keep our clients and technicians safe while out on job site and continued to provide critical service to our customers whenever they needed us.
We are proud to have been by your side and a part of your team, and we look forward to keeping you comfortable through 2021.
