What You Need to Know as a Building Owner This Winter

Updated: Nov 30, 2021

With the long, dark, cold days of winter right around the corner, it’s time to think about your equipment failure back-up plan and be ready to put it into place.

We brought in Dan McFayden, from our Rental Services team to share some of his recommendations to keep your winter equipment in tip-top shape and discuss what your first move should be if your equipment decides to fail on you.

Your top priority as a building owner should be making sure your equipment has been or will be serviced before the cold days ahead. Start-up your equipment now and check to see that your boiler is running adequately, your steam and hot water lines are blowing correctly, your filters are cleaned, and your air handlers do not have any leaks from the prior season.
